Eurico da Silva is a retired Canadian Horse Racing Hall of Fame jockey, seven-time Canadian Champion, and Mind Coach for professional athletes. Today, he leads Equine Experiential Connection (EEC) at LongRun, helping people reconnect with themselves, overcome challenges, and discover their true potential through the wisdom and connection of horses. My connection with horses began when I was just four years old. My mother was attending a job interview at a farm, and while she spoke with the owner, I wandered around and saw a beautiful white horse. Something extraordinary awakened inside me, and I ran toward him. As I approached, he began walking toward me too. When we met, he looked directly into my eyes, brought his head close to my face, and gently sniffed my chest. I wrapped my arms around him in a big hug and felt an incredible sense of love, joy, and safety. From that moment on, horses became an important part of my life. Today, I see that first encounter as the beginning of a lifelong connection that continues to guide my purpose and my work with Equine Experiential Connection (EEC).
